Andrew Miller
Andy Miller took his first and only guitar lesson in the dusty attic above a record store when he thirteen years old. Two days later, his teacher called to say he was done giving lessons, leaving Andy alone to figure out the chords to Hootie and Blowfish and Green Day songs. Years later, Andy still knows “Hold My Hand” and “When I Come Around,” but little else. He has used the same five or six chords again and again in dozens of his own original songs.
