Jake Good (aka Konsept) is from Juneau, Alaska’s capitol city. He grew up both there and over-seas for the most part. Jake got involved in the Juneau Hip-Hop scene along with other friends in the beginning of its development. The first group he played in was a funk/fusion/hip-hop band called The Animatronic Stage Show. He later recorded a first song with DJ AstronoMar and MC Lukewarm from The Animatronic Stage Show called Finally Frontier.

Jake has frequented local radio stations like KTOO and KBZJ LPFM to spit freestyles on the air. Since then he hosted a show on 94.1 KBJZ LPFM to accommodate freestyle cyphers on the air called The Rush Hour after DJ AstronoMar had finished with the previous freestyle hour on the sation named The Traffic Jam. He’s spent some time spinning at bars as a DJ doing down-tempo for Melted Wax and  playing at the Rendezvous Bar during Spins and Needles.

Jake also spins weekly at the Alaskan Bar for Monday Night Raw, a regular Hip-Hop night in Juneau. He is an active DJ, MC, and Artist. He paints and airbrushes canvas, shoes, hats and clothes by request/commission. Jake as Konsept has won battles in Juneau, Sitka, and in Anchorage at the Juice Hip-Hop event. Konsept represents The Artisans Crew from Juneau, Highly Unlikely from Sitka, and Feedus Productions of southeast Alaska.

He has performed at events such as Folk Festival, Concert in the Park, the Off-The-Record Battle, 7th Street Block Party, Atmosphere’s after-party, and Homeskillet Festival. He has finished an album with DJ Astronomar called AKronym and sits in as MC for the local funk/groove band named Brave Monkeys.
