Little Stones Father

The self-described “fuzz-folk” project Little Stone’s Father was one of the primary outgrowths of the Homeskillet Records collective, a coterie of like-minded, lo-fi indie groups- including Silver Jackson, GEO, and Jed Delong- who shared musicians, ideas, and sensibilities. While ranging in sound and concept from solo acoustic work to full band performances, Little Stone’s Father essentially remained the work of Jerrod Galanin, a singer/sonwriter from the remote town of Sitka, Alaska.

Little Stone’s Father first took shape in 2004 as a noise rock trio that played in a welding shop as Circle Hook. After a series of singles and privately released cd’s, Galanin, Bass player Dan Littlefield, drummer John Dean hit the studio for one afternoon to record in a few takes LSF’s first release for HomeSkillet. Over the course of the year additions to the recording from Zack D Wass on guitar were added.  Nicholas Galanin (Silver Jackson) mixed and edited the tracks.
