Here is a projected list of projects going on right now with Homeskillet Records.

Jed Delong has finished recording his long awaited Acoustic CD.
Little Stones Father is in the studio and will be releasing a debut album this winter.
Silver Jackson will be releasing his full length EP soon.
Homeskillet Records will be releasing a Hiphop Mixtape featuring new songs from Phonetic, Josh Boots, Koncept and more.
Lee Asnin is in the studio recording his solo album.
We are also already thinking about what to do or not do for next years Homeskillet Fest 2008…
We will be releasing last years entire festivities on DVD soon so watch for more information and youtube links.

HomeSkillet Fest 2007

HomeskilletFest 2007 is near! We have been working overtime with sponsorship, planning etc. and things are starting to fall into place. Heres what you need to know, and what to look for.

The fest will be 4 days long, starting with a FREE show Wednesday July 11th.
this show will start @ 6pm at Highliner Coffee and will feature Sonny Smith (from San Francisco).
SilverJackson, Andy Miller, GEO, Jed Delong, Vern Culp and others will perform too!

Thursday July 12th @ sheet’ka kwaan naa kahidi (ONLY 200 Tickets Available)
Starting @ 6pm w/ open mic, Luke Temple from NYC will headline!!!, also watch for jed delong, hank moore, chad lehl, vern culp and kaninau from Hawaii

Friday July 13th @ Sea Mountain Golf Course
Show starts at 6pm
Jake Labotz will headline!!!
Arrive early to see kaninau (Hawaii), g.e.o.(Portland), the sugar shakers, the muskeg blues band, little stones father, glorious youth parade, silver jackson, and sonny smith(SF)!

Saturday July 14th @ Sea Mountain Golf Course
Show starts at 4pm
Common Market from Seattle will Headline!
Abyssinian Creole will also fly up from Seattle to perform.
This evening will also include performances by bellymeat, katieland (Anchorage), teri tibbett(Juneau), phonetic, micelph, problem child, konsept (Juneau), D-Script, and josh boots (Anchorage)!!

It was a treat to hear Lee Asnin playing at HomeSkillet Fest. Lee has been in Alaska since 1998 and been playing blues since he was a kid. I met Lee for the first time a day before the show and it was good to finally meet the man behind all the good music.

A few months have passed since our last newsletter and a few new things have happened. We added the buttons to the right to help fans navigate between the two sites.

BlueSkillet is a sub-label dedicated to various Blues musicians. Be sure to download Strummin Dog’s latest release, “Northland Blues.”

Lee Asnin has been recording a new album and has sent us a few pre-release tracks to offer up for download.

Another new addition to the HomeSkillet Records label is LP3. An MC from Alaska, LP3 promises to add to the growing diversity of music that resides here.
