The Appetizer
GEO plays at The Highliner CafeWe weren’t sure what kind of turn out we would get for the part of HomeSkillet Fest deemed, “The Appetizer.” Ultimately, we decided it would be nice to give folks a taste of what HomeSkillet Fest is about before they committed to going. It was standing room only at Highliner Coffee Co., one of our sponsors.
Here is the lead off singer/songwriter to the festival, co-founder GEO. I’m sure there are a ton of pictures out there as I remember a lot of photos being taken. However I did not get any of Andy Miller or Sonny Smith, so if you have them email them to me at george “at” homeskilletrecords.com and I will get them up.
What was great about The Appetizer for me is that we could have ended after the local musicians finished up with Vern Culp. But then Luke Temple came out and blew us all away with his solo performance. He will be playing at the Community House on Thursday night. Tickets will be available at the door.

Sonny Smith played a set with his band and this was a treat as well. I hate to say I had some business to attend to (setting up the tent) so I had to leave half way during his set. Thankfully he will be playing again on Friday night at the Sea Mountain Golf Course. Tickets will also be available at this show.
